Autumn Styles Anyone Can Pull-off

The easiest way to transition your wardrobe from season to season consists of three simple steps.
Step One is Clothing, whether it’s a dress, shirt, or skirt.
Step Two will be Shoes, from the perfect heel to the most comfortable flats.
Step Three will include accessories.
With the guidance of this easy process you’ll be able to put together the perfect outfit! Today’s post will show you two easy ways to modernize your style for the upcoming season.
The Modern Victorian
1. LRB (Little Ruffle Dress)- For this trend, you’ll need a ruffle dress or a simple black or white dress with a smooth silhouette complemented by long string ties. The dress you wear should not only be stylish, but it should be comfortable and easy to move around in.

Wear Now…Wear Later: Leather Crop Top & Plaid Mini Skirt

The weather is definitely starting to change, so how do you take items in your current wardrobe and make them cross-seasonal? Our latest blog series is here to help you answer that question.
Today’s post is about taking the crop top and mini skirt trend of the spring/summer and making it still work for the fall/winter season.

Hey Guys, What’s Your Swimwear Style?

feature image

Swimming. An activity characterized by many as being exhilarating, freeing, or just plain fun. Although summer vacation is almost over for many of us there still is plenty of time to enjoy the beach and heat across the globe.

Some of us take little notices as to what we wear to the pool/beach etc., especially us guys. But there is one thing I can say is that there are certain types of styles certain men gravitate towards. There is the short-short man, the Speedo wearing dude or the long board short traditional lad. I myself fall in between the short-short and board short range. But there isn’t anything wrong with wearing the Speedo if you body is right for it.

Californian cult label, Banana Republic, is almost as well known for its innovative and highly successful collaborations as it is for its effortless, all American style. Last Summer saw Banana Republic join forces with fellow Californian, Trina Turk. This latest stylish collaboration, with New York based label Milly NY by Michelle Smith, could possibly be Banana Republic’s most lucrative to date. Continue Reading

Dungarees Are Making A Fashion Comeback

feature image

Ok, so they may not have a reputation as the most flattering of garments, or the most fashionable for that matter, but guess what, dungarees are back in style. I hear you cry, “Hopefully for one season only!”. Well, not so, as it appears this summer’s most unexpected micro-trend is fast becoming the season’s major fashion trend.

It’s going to be a (bright) yellow summer

B1 Image1 feature

Aside from a few sporadic days, teasing us with a taste of what summer might become, the sun has yet to put in a noteworthy appearance. Nevertheless, fashion’s finest delivered a variety of very worthy summer collections, with clashing patterns and bold colours taking precedence. One particular colour that strikes a note for this spring/summer is (bright) yellow.

Sickly neon, bitter-sweet lemon, subtle mustard and bold dandelion are all note-worthy shades. Though be warned if, like me, your skin is suffering the trauma of a frost-bitten winter, try wearing yellow accessories as an accent colour. A fluro yellow clutch and stilettos will add interest to a monochrome dress, plus it is an easy way to work two trends in one outfit.

Oh Glorious SHOES!

OMG!

Oh Glorious Shoes!

The warm weather is almost here and I am so gushing over heels. Yes my summer heels.

I wear heels from Fall, Winter, to Spring and Summer. I love heels and how they lengthen your body and give you a new platform to view the world from. So did you see JustFab.com lately? They are doing a great job, I might say myself, on their new summer collection of heels. Bright colours mixed with patterns and prints. Heels are to be worn with everything, in my opinion, even with a bathing suit if you are headed to the pool or to the beach this summer. Its sexy, alluring, an attention getter in every way (hint). Look below at some of my favourites.

Peplum styled curves with a personality

The peplum is one “recycled” fashion trend that I have wholeheartedly welcomed back. I tend to think it is a great “every woman” type of item. If you have a boyish shape it gives you the illusion of a more shapely figure and if you have natural curves, well that’s even better.

Blue, Melon and Gold!

Wendy Williams look feature

My absolutely favorite color/hue(s) is Blue and the brighter the blue is even better. So last night when I was watching the watching Wendy Williams show, I fell in love with her new look for Spring. She also put on very fun and quirky blue reading glasses and it was perfection!  These “divafied” frames were designed by a guest in the audience and Wendy like them enough to wear them on the show, how cool is that?
