The Eco Fashion Movement of 2013…

garyharveynewspaperdress feature

“Being green is the new black”…. I know this has been said many times before, but I completely agree with that statement! I don’t think sustainable fashion will ever go out of style. I think we’re just now starting to see more and more evidence of the “Eco Fashion Movement” becoming more popular over the last few years. From the quirky challenges on Project Runway to the noted “true pioneer of eco-chic” Stella McCartney to the increasingly popular DIY fashion and accessory creations on such global websites as Etsy.com… we have seen the idea of being “fashion conscious” take on a very new concept.

T3 feature

Click to watch video...

T3 is a revolutionary built-in mesh control panel made of a unique nylon and spandex blend that flattens the tummy and slenderizes the silhouette. The pants are made from a special blend of cotton and polyester fabric that prevents sagging and allows them to stretch for maximum comfort while maintaining a smooth shape around a woman’s curves. They also feature an invisible elastic waistband that minimizes gapping. Lane Bryant’s new T3 pants are designed to hug and enhance curves in all the right places so plus-size women no longer have to compromise on great fitting clothes. T3 denim is currently available in a boot cut jean in light and dark sandblast washes, a must-have summer capri in dark and dark sandblast washes and a flare-leg jean in a dark rinse wash. The T3 classic-fit trousers are available in black, charcoal grey, brown herring bone and charcoal berry stripe. All T3 denim jeans and trousers are available in sizes 14 – 28.  Petite and tall sizes are available online and in select stores. Lane Bryant will continue to add new silhouettes, colors and washes to its T3 collection in the coming seasons.

**DISCLAIMER** Although I love the concept and flattering technology of these new T3 products, the fit in the video does not really make me want to buy them. Also the pants look shorter inseam on the website, which again is not that appealing. I am all for finding better fits, figure flattering shapes, and getting better quality apparel for all, but I want to see where this will go. I wear and love my Lane Bryant Right Fit pants & jeans so I know that will make it work with the T3 items.

What are your thoughts?

Have you tried them on in a store?
