Many times there are fashion events that ask for a more formal attire than most of are accustomed to wearing when we go out. However, there has been a new trend that has made it much easier to get away with looking formal, yet trendy at the same time.
This week and weekend was Full Figured Fashion Week and the founder Gwen DeVoe wore a few styles that highlighted this trend and she looked fab!
This past Thursday, I had the pleasure to attend an Exclusive Blogger Event hosted by Full Figured Fashion Week. It was a collection preview event to hear about, look at, and try on both Hal Rubenstein and Marla Wynne’s newest collections for HSN! The event was held at the Nation Design Showroom and it was a lovely and very welcoming space full of the most popular Plus Size bloggers and influencers… and I was definitely among them as a newbie and excited for the opportunity to be in the same room.
The Set NYC, who has become known for showcasing some of New York’s up and coming creative talent, held a one night-only fashion event at the Holy Apostles Ballroom in Chelsea last night. The venue alone is an amazing backdrop to any dramatic or artistic event or performance. Fashion Night Out was the type of event that a unique venue choice will only better highlight the designers work and compliment the creative atmosphere.
I arrived fashionably late and missed the first runway show by Reverie New York, and if it was anything like the other two shows, I definitely missed out by running late!! The last two shows featured collections by Alex Vinash and (Project Runway Alum), Irina Shabayeva.
This past Wednesday I had the pleasure of attending the Zero Power Smart Fashion event held at the Metropolitan Pavilion. The event was organized by the Zero Power Swiss initiative, Guardian Angels EPFL, swissnex Boston, and ETH Zurich.
“The goal of this special, one-day exhibition and symposium is to showcase the latest innovations in wearable technologies, and to connect the fashion and high-tech industries with the research institutions and universities from the US and Europe.“
