The last weekend of the summer is always full of activities, which also means it’s full of wardrobe changes and figuring out what to wear to each event. You could possibly have several things you go to in one day or something each day of the weekend. In this post I styled looks for both women and men for the most popular Labor Day weekend events – Brunch, Beach and BBQ.
Brunch– A denim crop top, a striped full skirt, brown wedge sandals and a cute Palm tree tote will have you feeling like you are brunching in style with little effort.
Beach – a vintage inspired high-waist bikini, denim romper, stylish flip flops and a denim beach bag, will allow you to soak in the sun and be wardrobe ready for whatever happens next.
BBQ– get ready to eat all you can while looking sporty chic in a striped tshirt, distressed denim shorts, classic chuck taylors and a funky patterned tote to carry all your take home goodies!
You will notice that throughout this first set the staple items are something denim, striped and an accessory with palm trees. These three elements make your look seem easy breezy while also main ting a certain level of vacay chic!
Brunch – a nice pair of tailored pants, a subtly colorful button front shirt and loafers are great pieces that can create a casually polished look for any brunching experience.
Beach – it might be a simple look, but it still maintains an element of “put-togetherness”. Just because it’s the beach doesn’t mean you don’t need to look like you got dressed to go there. A nice tank, and plain board shorts with sturdy sandals will also allow you to go from the beach to the boardwalk.
BBQ – keep it comfortable, but not too casual. A fitted t-shirt, dark rinse denim jeans and statement sneakers will keep you looking like you’re ready for fun but still maintain a level of comfort.
You will notice the ought this set the primary color is blue, not because of gender, but because blue is a color that allows your look to be casual yet sophisticated at the same time. This is the perfect color choice for any activity or event, because it can be dressed down or dressed up.
